Creating a resume can be tough, especially for college students with little to no work experience. But on February 26 (Session 1) and March 5 (Session 2), our Resume-Building Workshop for Manila Christian Computer Institute for the Deaf (MCCID) proved that experience isn’t the only key to landing a job!
Many students worried about their lack of formal work experience. Our goal? To help them recognize the value of their school projects, skills, training, workshops, and volunteer work—and how to tailor their resumes for future job opportunities.
Students learned how to present school projects as real-world experience, highlight skills and certifications, and showcase volunteer work in a professional way. Whether in graphic design, programming, administration, or digital marketing, they gained insights on how to make their strengths stand out to employers.
The best part? One-on-one feedback sessions with our Executive Director, where students refined their resumes with expert guidance, ensuring their applications were job ready. By the end of the session, students walked away with stronger resumes and newfound confidence in their job search journey. This workshop proved that everyone has something valuable to offer, no experience needed!
Huge thanks to MCCID’s Admin and Faculty for this partnership! We look forward to more empowering sessions in the future. Stay tuned for more workshops, and remember, your skills matter, no matter where you start!
