Resume-Building Workshop for the Deaf – Batch 3

Creating a resume can feel overwhelming, especially for first-time job seekers. But on February 20 and 27, our Resume-Building Workshop for the Deaf – Batch 3 proved that with the right guidance, anyone can craft a strong, professional resume!

The journey began with a simple yet powerful question: Why does a resume matter? Participants shared their thoughts, and many were surprised to learn that some personal details could actually hurt their chances of landing a job. We explored what employers really look for and introduced an easy-to-use resume tool to help them create a standout application.

The second session focused on improvement and feedback. Participants refined their resumes, making sure their skills and experiences truly stood out. In breakout rooms, our Executive Director provided step-by-step resume reviews, giving valuable insights on how to make each resume stronger. In just one week, the progress was incredible!

By the end of the workshop, participants felt more confident in their resumes and job search skills.

  •  "I learned that I should focus on my skills and work experience. Now, I know how to make my resume better!" - Mike

  •  "Before the workshop, I used to buy ready-made biodata templates and just fill in the blanks, even with unnecessary details. This workshop taught me what to put in my resume and what to leave out. Now I know how to make my resume clear and professional. " - Grace

We are so proud of Batch 3! Watching Deaf job seekers gain confidence and take control of their careers is exactly why we do this.
