Launch of Our After-School Reading Program

Last week, we officially launched our After-School Reading Program for Deaf children in Loon. The smiles, energy, and excitement from the kids were truly inspiring! 

Our goal is simple but powerful: to help Deaf learners enjoy reading, grow their vocabulary, and understand stories better. We believe that when children find joy in reading, they also gain confidence in learning and communication. 

The children were very engaged—signing, laughing, and actively joining the activities. With games, pictures, and Filipino Sign Language (FSL), reading becomes more than just words on a page—it becomes a fun and meaningful experience. 

This is only the beginning. We look forward to seeing the kids build stronger reading skills and discover the joy of stories every week. Together, we are creating a safe, visual, and Deaf-friendly space where learning is exciting.
