Accessible Educational Tech

Providing educational technology to schools

In the Philippines, many schools for the deaf and blind lack accessible technology due to high costs and limited support, preventing students from fully participating in their education and gaining vital technical skills.

The Educational Tech Program addresses this by providing schools with assistive devices, network infrastructure, and ongoing technical support. It also offers training for teachers and students to ensure they can effectively use accessibility tools and create inclusive classrooms.

Donations to the program directly support deaf and blind students by providing the accessible tools and resources they need to learn, grow, and prepare for future careers.

FAQs

The program aims to bridge the digital gap for deaf students in the Philippines by providing accessible technology, digital skills training, and teacher support. It ensures that every deaf learner can confidently use technology for learning and future employment.

The Access Learning Lab is the program’s flagship initiative. It equips partner schools with laptops, tablets, smart TVs, and Wi-Fi and offers weekly hands-on sessions for students. These sessions focus on digital literacy, safe internet use, and AI-powered communication tools like ChatGPT to help students improve reading, writing, and thinking skills.

Schools receive a complete tech kit, including laptops, tablets, smart TVs, cameras, and Wi-Fi routers, all maintained by the program’s tech team. Continuous support ensures devices remain functional and accessible for students and teachers.

Every activity is built around “learning by doing.” Students don’t just observe—they create, explore, and solve problems. This approach builds confidence, keeps learners engaged, and helps them apply tech skills in real life and future jobs.

The goal is to bring the program to more Deaf and public schools nationwide. Expansion depends on funding, device maintenance, and staffing, so partnerships and donations are essential to reach more students.

You can donate or partner with the program to help equip schools, train teachers, and maintain digital classrooms—creating a more inclusive and tech-ready learning environment for deaf students.
